1.1. We, SeatID Ltd. (“We“, “Us“, or “Our“), respect the privacy of the users and visitors of Our application (“Application“) and/or service (“Service”), and are committed to protect the information that Our users (“User” or “You“) share with Us.
1.2. We believe that You have the right to know our practices regarding the information We may collect when You log into the Application and use the Service. The guidelines contained herein apply to your use of the Application and/or Service.
2. Which information may we collect with regards to Our Users?
2.1. We collect two types of data and information:
2.1.1. Non-identifiable and anonymous information (“Non-personal Information“). To put it simply, we have no idea what is the identity of the User from which we have collected the Non-personal Information.
The Non-personal Information We gather consists of technical information and behavioral information, including, among others, the following:
- IP address (e.g. 18.104.22.168)
- Flight destinations;
- Preferred Ticket Providers
- Preferred Seatmates;
2.1.2. Individually identifiable information (“Personal Information“) – To put it simple, this information may identify an individual or is of a private and/or sensitive nature. The Personal Information gathered consists of personal details available through Your profile (“User’s Profile“) in one of the social media platforms, including, but not limited to: Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+ and Twitter (“Social Network(s)“).
3. How do we collect information on our Users?
3.1. There are two main methods we use:
3.1.1. We collect information through Your use of the Application and/or Service. In other words, when You use the Application and/or Service We are aware of Your usage of the Service and may gather, collect and record the information relating to such usage. For example, the identity of your desired seatmates, Your flight preferences and destinations, airline company You use, etc.
3.1.2. We collect information from you User Profile in the applicable Social Network. For example, when You log into the Application through a Social Network we automatically receive all of your personal information exists thereunder. Such information includes Personal Information which may be visible to Us and to other third parties as further detailed below.
4. What are the purposes of the collection of information?
4.1. Non-personal Information is collected in order to:
4.1.1. Learn about general trends on Our Application and/or Service, and enhance the User’s experience of the Application and/or Service (e.g. We determine the Users’ preferences, their popular travel destinations, seatmates etc.).
4.1.2. Provide airline companies, online travel companies, travel agencies, etc. (“Ticket Provider(s)“) which incorporated Our Application on their applicable websites, with statistic information of Users’ preferences regarding flights destinations, entertainment and preferred seatmates.
4.2. Personal Information is accessed in order to:
4.2.1. Provide You with certain services, including the ability to look at people with similar interests on the plane and improve your flying experience.
4.2.2. Learn about your preferences and character, in order to provide you with variety of options to choose your seatmate from, and suggest seatmates with similar interests, hobbies or profession as Yourself (e.g. if We learn that You are interested in sports, We may suggest You seatmates who are interested in sports as well).
5. Sharing information with third parties
Users should be aware that by indicating their Social Network, other parties, such as the Ticket Providers, could access their personal profile and may have access to their Personal Information. Other users of the Application and/or Service could access their personal information subject to Privacy and Visibility Settings defined by the users on the User’s Social Network and on the SeatID application
You hereby agree that We may use your contact details you provided us with for the purpose of informing you regarding additional products and services which may interest you, and to send to you other marketing material, transmitted to the e-mail address you have provided, whether by ourselves or by designated third parties on our behalf, such as the Ticket Providers. You may withdraw your consent via sending a written notice to SeatID by e-mail to the following address: [email protected], or alternatively, responding to the e-mail transmitted to you and asking to be unsubscribed.
7. Deletion/Modification of Personal Information
Your Personal Information received from the applicable Social Network will be updated every time You log into the Application and/or Service through such Social Network and from time to time. If for any reason Your Personal Information was not updated in the Application, please send an email to: [email protected] and We will do our best to assist.
In addition, at any time You may request that Your User’s Information would be deleted or modified, in whole or in part, by sending an email to [email protected]
In addition, should You request that We will not send You commercial content from Our partners and affiliates, please send Us an email to: [email protected]
8. Cookies & Local Storage
When a User uses Service, We may use industry-standard technologies such as “cookies”, Flash and/or Silverlight (or similar technologies), which store certain information on your computer (“Local Storage“) and which will allow Us to enable automatic sign-in to the Application and/or Service and make the User’s browsing more convenient and effortless. It is easy to prohibit the Local Storage option. Most browsers will allow the User to erase cookies from their computer hard drive, block acceptance of cookies, or receive a warning before a cookie is stored. In order to erase or disable the Local Storage option in Flash or Silverlight You should use the settings option of Flash/Silverlight according to the specific instructions provided by the technology provider. However, if You block or erase, cookies, or change the settings of Flash and/or Silverlight, Your online experience may be limited.
We take a great care in maintaining the security of Our Application, Service and Users’ information and in preventing unauthorized access to it through industry standard technologies and internal procedures. However, We do not guarantee that unauthorized access will never occur.
10. Information received from Third Party Sites
We receive Personal Information and Non-personal Information from third party websites, such as the Social Networks (“Third Party Information“), only if the following conditions are met: (a) the Third Party Information is necessary for the delivery of certain services You have requested; and (b) You have granted Us permission to use such Personal Information and/or Non-Personal Information.
